Bo Bunny "On the Go" Mini Album, Part 2

Front Cover
 Pages 2-3
I knew I would have more photos that I wanted to include in my album than would fit on the included pages, so I came up with a very simple fix!

Pages 4-5
Pages 6-7
This album documents a big day in the life of our youngest son, and our lives, too!  These are just a few of the pages in the mini album, and there will be more to come later!  The album and most of the supplies are part of the Bo Bunny "On The Go" collection.   I really adore this collection because it basically fits so much about my littlest boy's life, personality, likes and activities!

Pages 8-9
You may be able to tell that several of the pages in my album are just rectangular in shape, and that is because I cut additional pages from large black sheets of chipboard with my kraft knife, matched the holes and punched!

Pages10-11

Pages 12-13
I added journaling where I could find a tiny spot!

Back Cover

In addition to the collection, I have used some American Crafts thickers, some Jenny Bowlin journaling cards, Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk inks, October Afternoon font stickers, Adorn It font stickers, a Marvy Uchida journaling marker, lots of Glue Dots, and lots of buttons.

I hope you enjoyed being "On the Go" with us!

Living My Own Adventure

So as you can see, I love patterned paper!  And lots of it!
I have also been playing with black cardstock as my base, and I like how it worked with these photos!
I used my Fiskars handheld circle cutter for the "circle" in yellow from Pink Paislee's Junque collection.
The black and creme pattern and the blue/yellow fleur de lis patterned paper are from 7 Gypsies, as is the title piece ADVENTURE.  The 3 red stars are also fussy cut from another sheet in that same paper pad.
The printed butterflies are from Close To My Heart - and I must say, I love them!  The strip at the top with the word "destination" is from Pink Paislee, and is actually a transparent border sticker!  The font stickers in the lower right corner are from Carolee Adorn It. Don't you love the old world script font stickers that appear to be written by quill pen!  (And these are ancient stickers by Flavia).
The gold/white striped paper is from echo park's Little Boy collection. The blue/yellow polka dot accents in the top right corner, on the lower left photo corner, as well as the red/black circle strip in the top left are border stickers from Crate Paper.
I really got a kick out of all these primary colors, and I hope I have inspired you in just a tiny way, to feel more confident to play with angles, shapes, lots of fonts, various manufacturers and collections, and of course ----- patterns!

u r : Simple Stories

I love this Happy Day collection from Simple Stories!  I'll admit, I used to think that using a bunch of products and elements from the same collection or even same manufacturer was not the way to go, but as I have gotten older, wiser and MORE BEHIND in my photos of my youngest son, I realize the error of my ways!  LOL!
I'd love your feedback, and for you to enter my 750 Followers Giveaway!

Get Up: Simple Stories

This is the first layout in a series I will be posting with my new favorite manufacturer: Simple Stories! These next few posts feature the Happy Day line, which suggests birthday, but I was able to use this versatile collection for a big photo shoot at our local park!  I also used Close To My Heart chocolate cardstock and twill ribbon, along with American Crafts thickers.  The chocolate ric rac is from Wal Mart, and the rough burlap-textured twine was purchased in a grab box at the 2011 Creating Keeepsakes convention.  Of course, I distressed as many edges as the skin on my fingers would stand! LOL!

So, So Big!

So, So Big!   I am famous for taking 50-75 photos of my son, when probably a handful would suffice, but I feel like I never know what I might get in the photos if I take a bunch!  Subtle differences, tiny movements, a nuance of an expression.....precious are those photo frames!  I am also famous for not measuring anything on my layouts, and being more of an "eyeballer" when placing elements!  So, there you have it!  Add in diagonal stripes on patterned paper, and here is what you get!  I didn't journal, but basically, Ezra is feeding himself completely without my help or hovering!

H2O is Joy!

I am so happy to be posting my latest layout! Having the follower contest as my only main post in almost a month was tough, but I wanted to make it easy to find! :) This layout showcases one of my very favorite photos of my youngest son, Ezra! I could scrap this photo over and over in mayn different ways! Do you have a photo like that? (This could be my idea for my first challenge......hhmmm.) So here it is:

I used Me and My Big Ideas Sunny Days patterned paper, American Crafts Heat Wave patterned paper (polka dots), Momenta atd Vibrant solid embossed cardstock (pink), Best Occasions Shiny Paper (turquoise), Bazzill Basics Cardstock Bank Roll, Peachy Keen Stamp You are My Sunshine, Close To My Heart ink Orange, American Crats thickers Heart, Recollections glitter and foam dots, Zots, Martha Stewart Glitter Glue, and buttons/brads/ribbon/thread from my stash! Hope you like it! Please leave a comment!

Ok, I have to give a shout out to Close To My Heart for their ink pads! I used Orange to stamp this cute little sun, and I have had this original ink pad since 2007, and I have never had to open my re-inker! You can visit their site here! www.closetomyheart.com

This is the first time I have scissor-distressed Bazzill cardstock, which doesn't have the white core I am used to, but I was pleased with the subtle lightening effect! And, being that I have 4 boys and only 1 daughter-in-law, I took advantage of the pink in this background paper, and put pink in as much of this layout as visually pleasing! :) (:

I have really enjoyed the collection of glitter I purchased with a coupon (Recollections)! And this is the first time I have used my new Peachy Keen Stamps! I do love those sweet little smiles, and the image was very crisp when I stamped it! I'll be purchasing more of these! You can visit their site: www.peachykeenstamps.com

I typed the journaling on my desktop, trying my best to match the turquoise in the papers with my font. And I was able to use my trusty Singer sewing machine to stitch a double frame around it in white for some focus, but hopefully without overpowering it. White brads, I added for the same reason. I hope you like my style, and I love comments!
