Here are the details of the challenge:
For this challenge we are going to shop our personal stash, we will not be taking a trip to our local scrapbooking stores.

Here's the rules:

Create a layout and include those (5) items on your page.

WILD at heart: A Layout for Sketch - N - Scrap

I created this layout, "Wild at Heart" for the sketch challenge at Sketch N Scrap!  This is the first time I've entered a challenge on the blog, and I was excited to discover it!
Here is the original sketch from Sketch N Scrap, #45

I was thrilled to be able to use 4 photos on this sketch, as I am 3 years behind chronologically, in scrapping my youngest's memorable events!  LOL!

To create this layout, I used these products:
*My Mind's Eye
*Crate Paper button brads
* Me and My Big Idea red foil chipboard
*Simple Stories journaling scrap
* Sew Easy stitching
* embroidery floss, apple brads, buttons from my stash

Please leave  me a comment - I love to read them!

Atypical

My two year old, just being himself on a typical Autumn day.  He touches, tastes, and smells everything!  I used Bazzill cardstock to matte the photos, some black buttons, and all other elements are from the Simple Stories 24/7 collection.  Enjoy!

Scrapping Everyday Miracles August Main Challenge

Scrapping Everyday Miracles August Main Challenge...."I Can Do All Things Through Christ".
For I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength. Phillipians 4:13

By Cara:
God created us to do great things and gives us the strength, courage and perseverance to do them!  He also delights in us and with us when we do---isn't that cool? So this month I want to you to create a project about an accomplishment...it can be your own or a loved ones.

The LORD your God is with you,
He is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
He will quiet you with his love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.
Zephaniah 3:17

I chose to create a layout about my daughter Ellie's Kindergarten graduation (back in spring 2012). She is in the Dual-Language program and many times felt overwhelmed not understanding very much of the Spanish language, but she has stuck with it despite her fears, and is on her way to becoming a fluent Spanish speaker (she will be going into the 2nd grade in the program this Fall). I know God is so very proud of her...just like I am!

So, you can choose anything that you consider an accomplishment---completing a degree, finishing a race, beating an illness, weight loss, etc. Can't wait to see what God is doing in your lives.

Oh, and don't forget the Scrap Twist...use metal or something metallic on your project!

Here is my layout for the August Main Challenge and my twist metal elements are the brads, and the metal pin holding the flowers and star above the tag!

Head on over to Scrapping Everyday Miracles and enter those layouts!

picnic: A Layout for Let's Get Sketchy, May Week 2

Oh we have so much fun in the summertime! I love the color orange, and I often dress my youngest in orange, and buy scrapbooking collections with orange themes!

I created this layout based on the Let's Get Sketchy May Week 2 Sketch Challenge, and here is the original:

**My resolution for 2013 in the scrapbooking area of my life is to use the supplies (the stash) I have already, and to only purchase prints of photos and adhesives!**  This layout gave me lots of opportunities to look through my stash and use several pieces!  YAY!

I used Fancy Pants Trick or Treat, Oct 31, and It's The Little Things collections, Reminisce Safety First, Simple Stories Summer Fun, Scenic Route Grafton Beach, Graphic 45 Staples alpha stickers,Sandylion Essentials Stickers, Crate Paper Toy Box Phrases, Jillibean Soup, American Crafts ribbon, Flair buttons, and Remarks Accents, and Recollections flowers!  (I also used several buttons from my stash!) Happy Day: A Layout for My Scraps and More #24

This was a Happy Day!  Buddies from 4 families came together to play while we celebrated one mom's birthday!

Here is the original sketch posted on My Scraps and More for #24:

I loved using 2 photos and so many strips of paper!  All the strips of paper were scraps I had trimmed off of other projects!  I love to use scraps!  I also used 2 acetate overlays in this layout, which are typically a challenge for me to incorporate!
The Happy Day title was actually an intact strip in the Simple Stories collection, but I cut each letter apart, and trimmed them down to fit better.
Enjoy!

And here is the original sketch from My Scraps and More Sketches #23

This sketch was a real challenge for me!  There were so many elements I wanted to use from the Simple Stories line, that it became not so simple!  LOL!
I also used lots of buttons from my stash, 2 types of ribbon from my stash, and red foil letters from Me and My Big Ideas that I have had for a while! The photos are actually inside pockets from the
SN@P product.

Hawk: A Layout for Sketches in Thyme

I created this layout for the Sketches in Thyme Sketch #90 Challenge!  I loved the simplicity of this sketch, but I was still able to use 2 of the same photo of this beautiful thin-shinned hawk, a threatened species on the island of Culebra, Puerto Rico!

I used all papers from the Simple Stories Year O Graphy collection, as I am doing our whole Puerto Rican vacation in this line.  The brads are from CTMH, title by American Crafts thickers,  tiny font from Adorn It,  and I used a Martha Stewart punch.

Animal Encounters: A Layout for Scrapping Everyday Miracles

I created this layout of 3 animals based on the beautiful Pagemaps sjetch provided by Scrapping Everyday Miracles!  I used lots of green to complement the iguana and the foliage, and orange to accent the land crab!  I always love a sketch with several photos - you know me - I take too many! Below is the link to the challenge!

For this layout I used Bazzill and CTMH cardstocks, Simple Stories Year O Graphy collection, October Afternoon font stickers and American Craft thickers.  I also recyled the natural ribbon twill strip from some bedding I purchased!  It came wrapped around the quilt with a tag attached, and it was silly to throw it away!  The green burlap netting was purchased at a convention, and I do not know the manufacturer!  Brads are from CTMH!

Moments:  Yes they are truly what we remember!   I created this layout based on Sketch #89 from Sketches in Thyme!  I was fond of this layout because I was able to use 3 photos!  You guys know I take way too many of my Ezra, so a multiphoto sketch is my fave! I also liked the contrast of circular and rectangular elements!

I used October Afternoon font stickers, American Crafts thickers in vinyl, CTMH brads, Recollections circle die cut, Quick Quotes PowderPuff chalking ink, and everything else is Simple Stories!

"boy" layout for 4 Crafty Chicks & Quick Quotes

I created this layout using the Quick Quotes Friday Challenge 20 Sketch for inspiration!
I included a quote about boys by Robert Powell on the 3 tags in the top right corner.  I also used the Powder Puff Chalking Ink Mocha Mama around the whole edge of my gold cardstock, and brushed the ink all over the surface of the chipboard tags!

I used 3 identical chipboard tags, that I trimmed into banners and brushed with Quick Quotes Powder Puff Chalking Inks Mocha Mama. I was thrilled to participate in this challenge because I pulled out my little box of blank tags, and used these 3 that I have had for maybe 7 years?  Yay for using my stash!

To create this layout I used these supplies and tools:
  •  Bazzill Cardstock
  • Simple Stories Year-O-Graphy collection
  • Jenni Bowlin calendar tags
  • The Paper Studio chipboard alphas
  • Jillibean Soup green burlap twine
  • October Afternoon font stickers
  • Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking ink
  • American Crafts metal photo brads
  • Prima distressing tool
  • Spellbinders square scalloped die
  • Sizzix Big Shot
  • green ribbon and tags from my stash

Let's Get Sketchy: October Sketches 1 & 2

I really had fun using lots of my scraps for the long banners!

Let's Get Sketchy October Sketch Week 2
And for this one, I was able to use lots of scraps, too!  And I always enjoy using a unique piece of fiber, like the woven burlap strip!

just like daddy

I love this layout!  I based it on the sketch at Fetch - A - Sketch, Challenge #33
and I loved the geometric elements, especially! I also took the opportunity to use 3 photos in these elements, and that always make me happy!  I cut the stars with my Cricut and the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, and inked them with chalking ink and a brush!  The title is made with Me and My Big Ideas Alpha chips and then I brushed them with the same Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking ink in Baja Blue.
