Let's Scrap 12-15-15 Sketch

http://letsscrapsketches.blogspot.ca/
Here is the original sketch from Let's Scrap, and I have to say I was super excited to use 8 photos!
I also enjoyed the challenge of the symmetry of both pages!

Here is my left page.

And here is my right page!
This was a great sketch to be able to incorporate several patterned papers without making my photos disappear, and I hope it inspires you!

Happy New Year!

Scrapbook Challenges Sketch 461

This week I worked with Sketch 461 from Scrapbook Challenges, and I have to say that I love it!  Because I have so many photos to scrap from my 3 boys and 1 daughter-in-law, I have had to make a promise to myself to use no less than 3 photos each page!  This sketch with 4 photos and everything placed so symmetrically was right up my alley!

Let's Scrap Challenge 12-1-15

I'm playing along with the 12-1-15 Sketch challenge at Let's Scrap, and I love being able to use 7 photos in two pages!
Here is the featured sketch!   Hope on over to the blog and play along!

Here is the inspiration sketch, and I followed it very closely.  My favorite elements are the paper strips, large title, and tiny banner!

Let's Get Sketchy & Picture This One Word Blog Hop Challenge

Here is my 2 page layout of my sweet boy, Ezra that I created for the One Word Blog Hop Challenge from Let's Get Sketchy & Picture This.    The instructions were to create any type of project that centered on only ONE word from the following list:
  • Love
  • Thanks
  • Teach
  • You
  • Grateful
  • Friend
  • Baby
  • Me
  • You
  • Smile
  • Encourage
  • Faithful
  • Enjoy
  • Believe
  • Dream  ******     I chose this one!
  • Favorite
  • Wonderful
  • Hope

  • "Dream" was the obvious choice for my layout, as my youngest son is a dream come true, and answer to many, many prayers!

Let's Get Sketchy November Wk 5 Scrap Lift Challenge

The current challenge at Let's Get Sketchy celebrates that November has 5 weeks this year, and celebrates the previous work of their talented team members!

The challenge instructs  us to choose from the featured layouts and scraplift it with our own new layout!  Here is the layout that caught my eye:

And here is my layout based on Sayaka's beautiful work!

I really liked that she included 3 photos that made a nice square focal point, and so I decided to use 4 square photos!
I mimicked her soft, layered background papers, and adhered my embellishments in similar locations!

    Scrapbook Challenges FlashBack Friday #184

I'm finally back to scrapbooking and posting on the blog!   Woohoo!  It has been almost a FULL YEAR since I posted here on The Papercrafting League, and I am praising the Lord that He has brought me back!

I decided to jump right in with a sketch challenge at Scrapbook Challenges, and worked from Sketch #184 in the November-December Flashback Friday challenge!  Here is the updated sketch from SC, and below is my one page layout!
    SBC_Sketch184

I always love a sketch that allows me to use 3 or more photos!

The journaling section included in the sketch forced me to come up with more details than just the date!   Thanks, Scrapbook Challenges!

I used American Crafts Junior collection papers, My Mind's Eye Lime Twist twine, Zots glue dots, Scenic Route Grafton Park chipboard, thickers vinyl alphabet stickers, and Queen & Co. washi tape.
